We have recently added many exciting new options to Net-at-hand and I wanted to take a minute to tell you about them. New PlansThe Net-at-hand plans have been revamped and offer increased value over the previous ones. BaseThe “Base” plan remains free and unchanged. Single SiteThe “Single Site” plan replaces the old “Personal” plan. For the same price you can run a single website with up to 1 GigaByte of storage for content (increased from 50 MegaBytes). If you signed up for a “Personal” plan, you are automatically switched to the “Single Site” plan; you need to do nothing else. Multi-SiteThe “Multi-Site” plan replaces the old “Professional” plan. For the same price you can now run up to three websites on your Net-at-hand account with 3 GigaBytes of storage to share among them (increased from 500 MegaBytes). If you signed-up for the “Professional” plan you are automatically switched to the “Multi-Site” plan; you need to do nothing else. New FeaturesContact formThe contact form feature was released a couple weeks ago. It allows you to setup a web page for site visitors to send you an email without making your email address publicly available. The top of the contact page can be formatted like any other page. The bottom contains a form for visitors to fill out to send you their input. CalendarThe new calendar feature allows you to publish events which are displayed as a formatted calendar page. The calendar is a dynamic page, which means it changes automatically as time passes. You don’t have to keep updating a page of “Upcoming Events,” just put events on a calendar page and let Net-at-hand keep it current for you. Each event also gets it’s own page which you can format like any other page including attached images and files. File attachmentsThe file attachments feature was also released a couple weeks ago and allows you to put files on your Net-at-hand website for visitors to download. You attach files to a page just as you would attach images and place them on your page the same way. View the help area for further information. Css/JavascriptFor really advanced users, there are now CSS and Javascript options available for each content piece. If you don’t know what that means, skip this paragraph. If you are familiar with using CSS or Javascript to build websites then turn on the “show advanced options” in your user profile. You will be given CSS stylesheet and Javascript options for any content piece you create. New DesignsNew designs are added to Net-at-hand on a regular basis, and we are pleased to offer three new great-looking design groups this week—”Paper”, “Vines”, and “Dots”. Many people are already putting them to good use. Professional Design ServicesIn addition to the regular designs for everyone’s use, we are pleased to announce the availability of professional design services. If you want a unique design for your business or organization, we can build you a custom design for your Net-at-hand site. Use the “Contact Support” form to get more information about this new service. Privacy PolicyWe added our privacy policy to the Terms of Use. It basically says that we will not give your email address to anyone, but you may want to read it for yourself. ThanksWe are committed to making Net-at-hand a great web publishing system. As always if you have any questions or comments, drop us a note any time. We greatly appreciate your input. Mark Whitcher |
